Pinanindigan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang ginawang pagsibak kay Bacolod Police chief Sr. Supt. Francisco Ebreo at apat na iba pa.
Sa ambush interview bago dumating ang bisitang Presidente ng Sri Lanka sa Malacañang, sinabi ni Pangulong Duterte na naniniwala siyang protector ang police official ng iligal na droga.
Sa dami aniya ng mga impormasyong ibinibigay sa mga hepe ng pulisya o City Police Director ay nakapagtatakang hindi nito alam ang talamak na illegal drug problem sa kanyang nasasakupan.
Hindi aniya pinag-aralan ni Ebreo ang estado ng kriminalidad at drug trafficking sa kanyang pangasiwaan.
” At the very least, he’s a protector. He might not be in the trafficking business but he was really a protector. I cannot believe that with all the information available to every chief of police or city police director for that matter assigned in the province, that you would not review the record of the province in terms of criminality and drug trafficking. Hindi pinag-aralan,” anang Pangulo.
Isa pang ginawang batayan ng Pangulo ay ang insidente ng ambush sa isang councilor na umano’y sangkot sa drug trafficking kung saan personal na binisita ito ni Ebreo sa hospital, kasama ang deputy nito.
Nagtataka ang Presidente kung bakit si Ebreo at ang deputy nito ang bumisita at hindi imbestigador, at nag-iwan pa aniya ng dalawang security.
“And you know there was this si Cano, a councilor has been tagged by the PDEA almost a decade ago to be engaged in trafficking, na ambush. There were about 3 ambushes before that incident na pumunta sila sa hospital, silang dalawa ng deputy niya. What’s (their?) fucking business going to the hospital of an ambushed drug lord? tapos nag iwan pa sila ng dalawang security.
I could understand if you would send a topnotch investigator of the police, I would understand that, pero kung sila dalawa mismo eh first and the second highest of police officials. Nagtataka ako kung bakit ganon. it’s a strange behavior,” dagdag pa ng Pangulo.
