Pinalaya na pansamantala ang mga naarestong sina dating Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo, ACT Teachers partylist Representative France Castro, at 16 na iba pa na naaresto sa Talaingod, Davao del Norte dahil umano sa kidnapping at human trafficking.

Sa kautusan ni Tagum City Executive Judge Arlene Palabrica ng 11th judicial region, pinalaya na ang mga akusado matapos makapagpiyansa ng P80,000 kada isa.

Pero tumutol dito ang kapulisan dahil ayon kay Police Officer Lawyer Louie Padillo, ang naturang piyansa ay para lamang sa paglabag sa RA 7610 o Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.






Pinayuhan naman ni Judge Palabrica si Padillo na maghain na lang ng kanilang apela para linawin ito pero hindi umano nakapaghain ang abogado.

Dahil dito naging pending pa ang kaso sa Provincial Prosecutor’s office at ayon sa Section 17 ng Criminal procedure, ang sinumang nasa kustodiya na hindi pa nakakasuhan nang pormal sa korte ay maaari pang makapagpiyansa.

Dagdag pa ni Palabrica, ” the respondents are still presumed innocent and no information have been filed against them, their supreme right to liberty must be upheld.”






“The police officer or military personnel or anybody who has custody of the above-named respondents are ordered to release them from custody and detention,” nakasaad sa kautusan.
